What is the best type of savings account to use?
I inherited some money from my grandmother. At the moment I have it in a Flex Saver account, but was wondering if there was a better option - I don't really understand what an ISA is, could someone please explain it to me, or suggest a better account for the money?

Weak passwords shorter than completely random 12+ characters are a big problem! Your address may have been found in someone else's infected computer's address book, and is being used by spammers. You may have opened an infected Spam mail or an attachment. Some new malware can install itself just by opening it, without even clicking a link! (It only takes a few hours to crack an 8-character password!) If none of these mails show in your Sent folder, it is not your own computer that is infected. Check there first. Deleting your account will not stop this spam - once the spammers have the address, they will continue to use it for a while. 1. How can I stop others from using my account to send spams?
How can I stop others from using my account to send spams?
I hardly ever uses my account but recently, I keep on receiving over 80 postmaster delivery failure to contacts that I knew nothing of. I think someone is using my account to sent spam to others. How can this be stop. This is not the first time it happened. I even tried changing my password and had more than one email account being blocked for this reason. It really frustrated me.

Spammers just use random email addresses in the 'From' address of the emails they send. Anything that bounces goes back to that address, rather than the real sender. It does not mean anyone has used your account in any way.

Check your outbox to see if the emails were actually sent from your account. If not, your account was not used. If that is not the case, and you've already changed your password, scan your computers for viruses, spyware, or keyloggers. In extreme basic terms it means include costs not yet paid, but due. An example is you know you will have to pay your tax bill in January for wages paid up to December. You have not yet written the cheque to the revenue so you have not yet debited your accounts, But you know what you are due to pay, so you include it as current cost.

Accruals are liabilities and non-cash assets that you carry forward into the next period. Accrual method in accounting lets us keep assets and liabilities in the periods that they actually belong. Cash method would have you place them at the moment the payment is made, regardless of when the revenue was generated or the liability was incurred. An example is wages payable. Our workers have worked for us over the last week and we owe them the pay for the hours worked but we are not going to pay them until the first week of the next month. We have accrued the debt. We will carry it forward into the next month when we will cut the checks on payday. We pre-paid our insurance for the year. We carry the insurance forward and expense it in each month as it gets used. At the time we paid for it we had an accrued asset (prepaid insurance) and we reduce that account as we expense it each month. Imagine you are working on a long-term project, such as building a dam. As you build it you do not accumulate the dam as inventory. You accrue revenue as a percentage of completion. The revenue is earned in the month when the work is actually performed even though you get paid on another schedule.

What do you do about a credit card account that has been running for years but the bank never issues a card?
A bank is charging a credit card account which huge interest but refuses to issue the card for use on the account - this has been going on for years! If they are not willing to issue a card, should they be charging interest on the account? Should they not freeze the interest therefore to allow for clearing the debt? Is this legal? Is this not a breach of the contract?

(although there is lots about how any card they do issue belongs to THEM, not you, and they can ask for it back at any time they like). However since you have been paying their huge interest charges for years (and not reducing the debt at all), you are plainly one of their best customers ! I suggest you write explaining that if you would be decent enough to send you a card, you will be sure to spend up to whatever new Credit Limit they choose (thereby allowing them to collect even more in interest and fees ..) You should include a plan that shows how you will continue to pay their charges for the next 50 years ... On the other hand, if you REALLY want to be nasty to them, pay your debt off as soon as possible ...

Can a PayPal account be opened by someone with a bank account but no credit or debit account?
Can a PayPal account be opened by someone with a bank account but no credit or debit account?
A friend would like to open a PayPal account and although they have a current bank account they do not have a credit or debit card. Can this be done? Thanks in advance.

No it can't be done. Opening a paypal account requires a certain number that is only found on accounts that have a credit card. I believe it's a pin number of some sort. I might not be completely right but I've tried before, as I have a bank card/debit but it didn't work. He can try it but make sure he/she is over the age of.. i'm not sure. Over 17,18,19,20 or something. If he stumps upon a question that he can't answer that is along the lines of "The pin number should be on the front of the card" and it isn't there, then he can't do it. Good luck!

I think the answer is "Yes." As far as Paypal UK is concerned, it cannot hurt to try; the process of opening an account is fairly quick. You can fund a Paypal account from your bank account, so it would make sense to be able to operate an account without being a cardholder. However, a card is a common way of verifying your age and identity, so they may indeed require it as the previous person suggests. I recall I have held a Paypal account in the past with no registered cards on file, so it seems likely to me that you can open one with no card.

in your settings there is a place to set up a bank account and then you can transfer the funds!

your bank account has to be verified by paypal first. go to settings, then choose verfiy account. paypal will make 2 small payments into your bank account which takes up to 4 days. then u have list the amounts deposited in your verification section. then you can go to transfer funds and transfer into your account.

A transfers money from his account to B's account (another bank), A does this via his bank, his bank mistakenly takes sum of money twice from his account. A speaks to his account and they refund the money to him as well as compensation for the mistake. In the meanwhile B has received 2 payments from A. A is now asking for sum of money from B even though he has received money back from bank. What are the legal implications for B?

A year ago I upgraded to a premium account, I still want to manage the website from freewebs (or webs as it is now) but I don't want any of the facilities associated with the premium account. Is there anyway to keep my website and downgrade it to non-premium?

I work as an Accounts Assistant in a good company and get paid more than £9ph. My friend boyfriend is a builder and earns around £12ph. Some cleaning ladies I know earn more than £10 ph. How does it work?

There's no fairness scale in a capitalist system. What we earn can seem really unfair, when compared to others. The only thing I would say is that in your case, you have a chance of moving upwards in Finance, which would possibly bring you bigger earnings than a clean and even a builder.

Comparing income with people in different fields is often not as straight forward as it seems. Apparently you consider the builder and cleaner to be a lesser breed than yourself (incidentally, being an Accounts Assistant is not a prestige position!). You get a bit over £9/hr, you get that for 36/38/40 {?} hours every week, come rain or shine. You get 4 weeks or more holiday on pay, your employer probably contibutes towards a pension for you. The builder is probably 'hourly paid' and may often be laid off at an hours notice and without pay in inclement weather. He may not get any pension subsidy etc. If he falls sick chances are he will just get basic sick pay where as you would get full pay. Similar sort of thing with the cleaner though i would suggest very few cleaners get over £10/hr - the cleaner is probably working part time, may be for 2 or 3 employers and again probably does not get your fringe benefits. You have a skill working with numbers, the builder has a skill working with his hands and chances are that he actually has a wider range of skills than you do.

You may be able to explain the situation to a homeless shelter and see if you can use thier mailing address. Otherwise, perhaps you can explain the situation to a friend or family member

The bank is legally required to collect a proper physical address from customers due to the Patriot Act. It cannot be a PO box or false address (if the initial mailing the bank sends out comes back they are required to close the account). My suggestion to you would be to find a friend or family member who will allow you to use their address as your mailing address. Explain to the bank your situation...as embarasing as it may be...so they can work with you and allow you to get back on your feet. Smaller community banks are more likely to do this, larger banks are kind of sticklers to the rules!

Just use your grocery cart like a travelling RV. You know how trailer park people live... Yeah just use your grocery card or your fold and go Cardboard. Declare that as you residence... Or better live in front of the bank so the bank can save postage plus you have the same address as your bank..

You need a seperate person to log onto the other account - unless you can open a new page and log onto the other account while using the same server and world

if when you say xfer you mean transfer then you can drop your items then log out and log onto your other player and pick it up. The items stay invisible for a few minutes so no one else can take your stuff. When it becomes visible simple click on it and there you go. I would recommend doing this in a quite area because when the items become visible everyone can see it.

I've thought of 4 possible options on transfering your money. (there may be more) The drop party method is a risk. I would advise you to get a whole lot of junk that is worth a lot on your main account and when your trading the money from pure...just trade the junk and money...but thinking about it...there are some alternative downs to it bevcause you'd be buying junk thats worth as much as the money unless you just pick junk up from the ground. If you want to try the drop party method, place the money you want to transfer in the party box by small portions. (ex:/ 50k-100k) To decrease the chance of another player getting your money you can switch servers. How?...Go to Runescape main page, on the top left corner there are 3 small flags. Choose german or french and select a world with a minimum amount of people. -You might have difficulties in server because the language is completely different.- If both accounts were members raising quest points on both accounts would help a lot. You could also try the 26k trick. To do this you must be in a PVP world. find a place where there are least people (like Draynor). To do the 26k trick both accounts must be skulled. Make your pure account store everything in bank and only have 26k in inventory. Have your main wear your best gear, weapons, armour etc while killing your pure because the more wealth you put on risk the better the drop may be. when your main kills your pure that has 26k it will drop items that are worth more than the 26k most of the times. you don't get 100% good drops all the time and sometimes the trick may drop the full 26k with other items. So this method isn't too secure but an option. (place your common sense when your in pvp & listen to how to do 26k but don't be in the middle of no where in PVP because someone may kill you) It's always good to do trick near a bank. Other then that 5k per 15min is probably your only way because Jagex doesn't want you to do what your doing, even though both of the accounts are yours, if they made this kind of trading possible then hackers can instantly get money from their victims accounts to theirs.

Although the pay isnt' huge, they are good employers and encourage staff to progress. They are also sympathic to time needed for study and exams etc. Sometimes they will sponsor you in return for you working for them for a given period after you qualify.

Whenever I switch my computer on my user account shows 88 emails or some other number from my various email accounts such as hotmail. How do i stop these from showing up on the log in screen?

How can I transfer furniture onto another account on Habbo hotel?
My laptop is Windows 7 and everytime I try to go on two accounts it justs turns into the same account? How can I get on two accounts and transfer my furniture? Please help! Georgia.

You need to use two different internet browsers, so like internet explorer and safari. So then you would log on with one account on IE, and one on safari. Thats the only way that works

How can emails sent to my gmail account be automatically organised into different folders?
I have synced my gmail account so as to receive emails from my webmail account. How can I ensure that all incoming mail from my webmail account (and that is already labelled as such) can automatically go into an email folder AND not be seen amongst the main inbox emails?

Yes. Create a filter. On the first tab of creating a filter, set up the appropriate criteria for figuring out what sort of email is involved (like what email addresses it's from, or what words are in the Subject, or whatever...). Then click Next. Then on the first radio button click Skip the inbox (Archive) and also click (further down the screen) Apply Label ... (and give it a label name). Labels are the GOOG equivalent to "folders". Then "Create Filter" and there you go. Create as many filters as you like, and collect'em, and trade'em with friends.

How do I check that a bank account belongs to the right organisation?
I need to transfer about £10,000 to an estate agency. They've given me their sort and account number. How can I check this is the right account and not the estate agents personal account or an incorrect number?

What happens when you have a student account are no longer a student?
I was a student for 2 years but I need to take a year out. I plan to go back to studying afterwards. Does anything happen to your account? Do the perks of that account cease? and/or do they charge you for no longer being a student but still having the account? I don't have an overdraft but i just discovered the consequences of an unnarranged overdraft. So now im a bit worried about the bullshit they'll charge me for technicalities like this.

I haven't logged onto my email account in so long it closed down. Even if I could Ive forgotten the password. It seems my youtube account password has left my memory too. IS there a way I can get into my youtube account if, even though ive forgotten the password and the registered email address has closed down?

Hello, My bank offers me a current account and linked savings and brokerage accounts. In this situation, would the GBP 50,000 guarantee on deposits apply to the sum of the balances in all three accounts? Or would it apply to the balance in each individual account separately? Thank you.

Yes. Only the first £50,000 in each institution is guaranteed, so you should think twice about keeping more than that amount in the same bank, even if it's in different accounts. Additionally, the guarantee applies to banks owned by the same group of companies. So, if you have money in two banks which are part of the same group, only £50,000 will be guaranteed.

How can i cancel my email account without a password?
Someone has hacked into my account and changed my password and secret question, and I urgently need to delete the account to stop the hacker from contacting anyone from my contacts. you cannot delete the account if you cannot access it using the password you had before. there is no way to do that. better contact your friends and tell them about your account being hacked and to ignore future emails from that account.

For example, money paid by a company/business for petrol, could be debited to a petrol account and would be credited to the bank account. Why not vise versa?

A debit is one of three things: an increase in an asset a decrease in a liability an expense. A credit is also one of three things: an increase in a liability a decrease in an asset an item of income. Hang on the definitions above...it really will help! Payment for petrol is an expense (so debit to the petrol account) and the corresponding double entry is credit cash, assuming you pay by cheque (it's a decrease in an asset, the asset being the cash you have at the bank). When you pay cash in to your bank account, it's an increase in your asset (you have more cash at the bank). You credit whoever paid it to you. It takes a while for the penny to drop (no pun intended!), but once you get a bit more used to dealing with balance sheets, profit and loss accounts etc it becomes easier to see how the bits of the jigsaw fit together.

Technically as many as you want... problem is when you come to play the game, if there is someone online at the same time it will register that there are 2 (or more) of the same key and won't let you play, and is more likly to ban that key so no one can use it.

Require a journal entry? since asset neither increased nor decreased, I'd say no but not sure. Also, does the number of shares outstanding decrease? Since it's same amount, I'd say remain the same but not sure.

Since you specify 'split', I assume you mean each existing old share is exchanged for 2 news shares, so plainly the number of share outstanding doubles. Since number of shares are factored into Earnings per Shae calculations, plainly the fact of the split has to be recorded somehow, so i would say 'yes' (you would show all the old shares being canceled, new ones issued)
