Can a PayPal account be opened by someone with a bank account but no credit or debit account?
A friend would like to open a PayPal account and although they have a current bank account they do not have a credit or debit card. Can this be done? Thanks in advance.

No it can't be done. Opening a paypal account requires a certain number that is only found on accounts that have a credit card. I believe it's a pin number of some sort. I might not be completely right but I've tried before, as I have a bank card/debit but it didn't work. He can try it but make sure he/she is over the age of.. i'm not sure. Over 17,18,19,20 or something. If he stumps upon a question that he can't answer that is along the lines of "The pin number should be on the front of the card" and it isn't there, then he can't do it. Good luck!
Answer 2 :
I think the answer is "Yes." As far as Paypal UK is concerned, it cannot hurt to try; the process of opening an account is fairly quick. You can fund a Paypal account from your bank account, so it would make sense to be able to operate an account without being a cardholder. However, a card is a common way of verifying your age and identity, so they may indeed require it as the previous person suggests. I recall I have held a Paypal account in the past with no registered cards on file, so it seems likely to me that you can open one with no card.
Answer 3 :
Ok two things, you can still use paypal without a credit card!!!! Myth busted there on that one as I do NOT use a credit card for ebay/paypal. I use TWO Debit cards and 1 bank account. (for the first few years I did not hace any debit card on there at all! I only bought from ebay and just used bank transfers, when you pay for something on paypal it gives you a choice of how to pay, and you can pay by bank transfer, debit card payment OR credit card payment! 1: paypal and ebay can be used by a bank account only OR debit card OR credit card. 2: YES you can have a paypal account to send and receive money without the need for a debit or credit card as stated below from the paypal website: What is PayPal and how does it work? You can pay for items you buy on eBay as well as on hundreds of other leading retail websites, or you can use PayPal to send money quickly and safely to anyone with an email address. You can pay with money held in your PayPal account balance or use another payment method such as a credit card, debit card or********** your bank account***** https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;jsessionid=WGwVLG2GLPKQ8zVHvyz74nctWrLystjVMdb2GsKvYcpcwTlYhsbt!-1670331025?locale=en_GB&_dyncharset=UTF-8&countrycode=GB&cmd=_help&serverInstance=9002&t=solutionTab&ft=browseTab&ps=solutionPanels&solutionId=163072 EDIT frenchi, you NEVER give your credit or debit card pin number out to anyone but yourself. Your talking about confirming a card to use on paypal. This is when you verify yourself. Paypal deposits or takes a small amount like £1.00 and puts it back and when that payment is made, there is a transaction number beside that which you can see on your statements. you need this to confirm the card is yours! THAT is all. Once the transaction number has appeared you enter that into paypal to confirm the card belongs to you! When and if people do use credit cards or debit cards and want to register this with paypal all you need to do in input the card number, exp date and 3 digit code on the back of the card. THAT is only needed IF the person CHOOSES to register their cards onto paypal! Once entered, paypal saves this and then gets you to *verify* yourself. You can even get verified for your home address AND your phone number! I am an ebay seller. Seller for 4 years buyer for 5. Sell every single week! Know what I am talking about!

Answer 1 :
in your settings there is a place to set up a bank account and then you can transfer the funds!
Answer 2 :
your bank account has to be verified by paypal first. go to settings, then choose verfiy account. paypal will make 2 small payments into your bank account which takes up to 4 days. then u have list the amounts deposited in your verification section. then you can go to transfer funds and transfer into your account.
Answer 3 :
If you have already added and verified your bank account.... Log-on to paypal, look under the My Account tab, select Withdraw, then Transfer to Bank Account...next screen you enter the amount to transfer. Note - the transfer takes an absurdly long 3-4 business days before it shows up in your checking acct.
Answer 4 :
You already have the answers above, but if you're in the UK, it's more likely to take around 10 days for the money to get to your bank.

What happens if a bank mistakenly pays money into an account?
What happens if a bank mistakenly pays money into an account?
A transfers money from his account to B's account (another bank), A does this via his bank, his bank mistakenly takes sum of money twice from his account. A speaks to his account and they refund the money to him as well as compensation for the mistake. In the meanwhile B has received 2 payments from A. A is now asking for sum of money from B even though he has received money back from bank. What are the legal implications for B?

Answer 1 :
A has been repaid, he has no standing. The BANK can debit the account due the mistake and can sue B if they are not repaid.
Answer 2 :
Forget the A-B crap. If the bank made a mistaken deposit, it will be discovered and withdrawn without notice.
Answer 3 :
b has to pay back the money. he knew it was a mistake. he could be arrested for fraud and so could you.good luck

How can you downgrade a freewebs account from premium to non-premium without deleting the entire site?
A year ago I upgraded to a premium account, I still want to manage the website from freewebs (or webs as it is now) but I don't want any of the facilities associated with the premium account. Is there anyway to keep my website and downgrade it to non-premium?
